چکیده

DynaMIT is a simulation-based real-time system designed to estimate the current state of a transportation network, predict future tra c conditions, and provide consistent and unbiased information to travelers. To perform these tasks, e cient simulators have been designed to explicitly capture the interactions between transportation demand and supply. The demand re ects both the OD ow patterns and the combination of all the individual decisions of travelers while the supply re ects the transportation network in terms of infrastructure, tra c ow and tra c control. This paper describes the design and speci cation of these simulators, and discusses their interactions. Development of a Dynamic Traffic Assignment System for Short-Term Planning Applications

Evaluation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) at the planning level, as well as various short-term planning projects, require the use of appropriate tools that can capture the dynamic and stochastic interactions between demand and supply. The objective of this thesis is to develop a methodological framework for such applications and implement it in the context of an existing dynamic tr...

Development of a Route Guidance Generation System for Real-time Application

This paper describes the route guidance generation component of DynaMIT, a dynamic tra c assignment (DTA) system intended for deployment in a tra c center and capable of generating real-time prediction-based guidance information. After providing a general overview of the system, the paper discusses the principal theoretical and algorithmic issues which in uenced the development of its guidance ...

Off-line Calibration of Dynamic Traffic Assignment Models by

Advances in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have resulted in the deployment of surveillance systems that automatically collect and store extensive network-wide traffic data. Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA) models have also been developed for a variety of dynamic traffic management applications. Such models are designed to estimate and predict the evolution of congestion through detail...

QoS based Integration of IP and ATM: Resource Renegotiation

The dynamic and e cient usage of the resources is one of the fundamental aspects studied in the DIANA project [1]: at rst the tra c speci cation should re ects the real tra c demand, but, at the same time, optimise the resources requested. In applications, which uses RSVP, this can be reached with the introduction of the RVBR Service described in [2], which is based on the renegotiation of the ...
